I have seen these cheesecloths ghosts making their rounds on social media and they are so cute! I tried out this fun Halloween craft with my toddler and here's what we learned so your's turn out better!
You'll need:
Something to form the ghosts around based on how big you want them (I used cups, small balloons, and a cat cookie jar to make a cat ghost!)
Optional: Something stiff to form arms if you want your ghost to hold a pumpkin
Let's get started!
Start by forming the bases for the ghosts.
Cut your cheesecloth to drape over it, with some extra cloth for some bunches on the bottom of the ghost.
Dip the cut cloth into the Mod Podge - make sure to not ball it up when you ring out the excess liquid or it could make it pretty wrinkly like mine.
Drape the cloth over your base and let dry for 24-48 hours. I live in a dry climate and it was stiff within a day! It might take longer depending on your size of fabric and humidity.
I made eyes out of some black construction paper, but you can also use felt or leave the eyes off. Put twinkle lights underneath to light up the ghosts (& hide any wrinkles!)
And just like that you have your own little ghosts! This makes for such a fun craft that kids can join in on too! Let me know if you make it so I can see your ghosts! 🤍👻
